No perfect mornings. No long blocks of time. Just focused reps that keep you on offense. Here’s how I’d use 60, 30, or 15 minutes to do the same 👇🏼

I’m working with someone juggling two jobs while job searching.

You don’t have 4 hours to job search every single day. I’m working with someone who has two jobs (bartending & an athletic office store advisor) which they do while they’re in the midst of finding their next role.

So, energy can be zapped and the “perfect” morning of job searching might not always roll the way you want. Here are a few things I’d do given a little bit of time:

Got an hour?

Find 2 roles you love, study their job description (what do you believe wholeheartedly), and then message 3-5 people at the company. You’re considering a move and want to figure out if they’re place of employment is worth consideration. Make sure to apply to ONE of the roles if you found it within the first 72 hours.

Note: you’re on the offensive.

Got 30 minutes?

Find a role you believe you could get a referral for (within 48 hours), but don’t apply yet. Send a crafted message to that person to kickstart a conversation about ONE specific role (not five… one). Even though you sent a message to a referral, also send 3-5 messages to new folks who have common ground (alumni, past organizations, etc.)

This may mean you’re asking for an introduction from a 2nd degree connection which is fine, but move fast you only have 30 minutes!

Note: you’re on the offensive.

Got 15 minutes?

Follow up with people who didn’t respond to the messages from above. You want to work the muscle of following up 3 times before moving onto the next, keep it simple. “Bumping this up to the top of your inbox for response!” will do it more often than not!

Also, search “[role you’re chasing] + “roles” or “jobs”” in the LinkedIn feed and see if there are any posts from the hiring team on open roles. This has worked for people in my program!

Remember: this isn’t personal, people are busy!

Note: you’re on the offensive.

I say this because there is no time to wait. Have as much patience as you can with follow ups but there is no time to wait for an employer to respond. You must move on the offensive 24/7!

Also, it’s okay to not execute these perfectly.

Put up a rep, you get better through doing.

Questions to gut check your volume:

  • Out of the last 14 days, how many days have I spoken with someone doing the work I want to do?

  • Out of the last 30 messages I’ve sent, how many have I followed up on?

  • Out of the last 5 interviews I’ve had, how many have I followed up on or made sure to thank the hiring team for their time?

  • When was the last time someone offered to introduce me to someone else?

  • In the past 30 days, how many people have known I’m actively exploring my next role?

Over the next year, Roku predicts that 100% of the streaming audience will see ads. For growth marketers in 2026, CTV will remain an important “safe space” as AI creates widespread disruption in the search and social channels. Plus, easier access to self-serve CTV ad buying tools and targeting options will lead to a surge in locally-targeted streaming campaigns.
