Two posts blew up this week.
150,000+ views. Thousands of reactions. A lot of “you nailed it.”
A lot of “you’re absolutely ridiculous”
What most people don’t realize is obsessed I am with these topics - there are 45 other ideas that start ruminating while I’m writing, here’s what I saw…
Two posts folks loved (150k+ views) and what I wish they took away
"I talked with someone this week who keeps running into "entry-level" roles requiring 4 - 5 years of experience..."The internet… LinkedIn specifically has a weird way of blowing posts up these days. I believe I hit a nerve on an always trending topic of how entry level roles require more experience than they should.
If I could shake someone who read this post - my goal with this post was to say, “spend time where you already know people and chase ruthlessly”
There are too many people around us who we’re afraid to ask a question or check in with them about how they could support us. You’ve given to people for 10-15 years yet you’re afraid to ask them to watch your dog for an evening.
It’s the wildest thing - don’t be afraid to ask for a favor professionally - especially as you’re trying to kick off your career.
"I've seen people take two full weeks off during this holiday split..."This post came roughly the Monday after Christmas and I couldn’t help myself. You have folks throwing out Christmas photos, new years resolutions, and people completely shutting down.
Yet there are folks in Conversations > Applications who are having conversations and landing referrals in the gap from Christmas Day to New Years. This also came from my time in corporate where I would shut down for a full two-weeks and usually party with friends/family the entire time.
Running my own business and the fact that I don’t get “PTO” as we know it anymore pushed me to be online, sending follow-ups and connection request. But I wasn’t alone and neither were my clients!
People answered! Not everyone shuts down this week or ever. And, people want to hear from you.
One question to gut check how people perceive you:
Do they honestly believe I’m the one for the role? Or, do they see me as someone they should help because it’s the right thing to do?

Open your Notes app and created a bulleted list of your 2026 goals. Set it as your lock screen. Remember, always have one that scares that sh*t out of others. It’s a great conversation starter when someone is looking at your phone.
