Summer is here, prepare the 2025 career pivot.
You only have one hour to job search today.
No time to overthink. No room for busywork.
So let’s make it count.
Here’s exactly how I’d spend it — to build clarity and momentum👇
One hour of job searching. Lets Go.
This is all you have today. What can you do?
Here’s how I’d spend it:
1) Make sure my target role list is up to date (5-15 minutes)
Do I know what companies have the role?
Do I know when the application opened up?
What was the last movement I had on the role?
2) Brainstorm around the ONE problem you solve. (5-15 minutes)
Take the target companies or roles in step #1 and start to ideate around what these companies need out of these roles. This helps you stand out, you don’t go to the table expecting a role - you’re selling them a transformation.
This is the work few are doing. Thus, you become an attractive candidate.
3) Run towards people on LinkedIn (25-30 minutes)
Where do people with my role hangout?
What do they talk about? Who do they interact with?
What topic do I feel comfortable contributing to?
What’s a low-stakes way for me to get in the conversation?
Who’s the last person I talked to outside of the platform?
What outreach message has the highest response rate?
These people won’t bite; you need to study them to win.

Stop counting yourself out after a bombed interview; you never know when the tides will change. Show up, knock out your work, address where you messed up, and then go back to work.
Sometimes, it only takes 15 minutes for a tide to change. At least it did for someone in the conversations > applications community…

One question about riding highs and lows…
What if you played the game like you were always on offense?
Before you leave…
Here’s another awesome newsletter from a coach I respect - give it a read!

Need support answering the above questions?
This is the work I’m doing right now with others.
