The best job search tactic you're probably overlooking
The job search struggle is real—track it, question it, reset it."
Sunday morning—I’m back with you, and I’ve been digging the weekend writing more. A friendly reminder that the weekend is yours; find a moment to do something you wholeheartedly love.
Conversations, time with loved ones, or a book alone.
Let’s jump into it 👇🏼
No one talks about organization
Questions gut-check progress

BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front)
You hate your job search because you don’t track it.
Ask yourself hard questions if you want real progress.
Get out and sweat—it’ll reset your day and the approach.
Most job seekers send applications and hope for the best—those who track their process follow up strategically and get hired faster
I wake up to an inbox filled with job seekers making moves—checking in on their resumes, sharing updates on recent conversations, strategizing their next outreach, and prepping for interviews.
But I know this isn’t the reality for everyone, and that’s exactly why I want to highlight something crucial here.
What gets measured gets managed. It’s that simple.
If your job search looks like tossing out four applications on Tuesday, then five more on Friday in a completely different industry—you're not setting yourself up to win.
That’s just guessing. And guessing doesn’t land offers.
Take one of the job seekers I’m working with right now. They sent me a Notion page that mapped out everything below:
Job Applications – Tracking applied jobs, statuses, and follow-ups.
Important Qualities in a Role – Defining key attributes desired in the next job.
Work Values – Listing personal values and priorities for job satisfaction.
Biggest Fears in a New Role – Identifying concerns or challenges when transitioning.
Conversation Questions – Preparing for networking or interviews.
Compensation – Tracking salary expectations, offers, or negotiations.
Networking & Outreach – Keeping a record of networking efforts and connections.
Now, does this person look like they’re wandering through the job search blind?
Not even close.
They’re about to create more opportunities than they ever thought possible.
Because when your search is organized, your mindset shifts—you stop feeling stuck and start taking action that moves the needle.
Gut-check your job search progress:
In the past 14 days, how many times have you spoken with someone in your target role?
In the past 7 days, how many times have you reached out for a conversation?
In the past day, how many jobs have you applied to?
These numbers should be climbing—quickly. From the bottom to the top.

“I’ll run there.”
Grabbing lunch, meeting friends, or heading to a coffee chat?
Make that your go-to answer. Get outside, get moving, and reset your day.
Ps) No shame in walking either.
