If you're struggling with landing the final offer in the interview...
The simple outreach that turns strangers into advocates behind closed doors.
I’m wholeheartedly trying to not overcomplicate the job search and have you spend more time with people that you enjoy.
I hate cringey networking calls just as much as you.
Let’s jump into it 👇🏼
Landing the Final Offer
Questions to Impress an Advocate
#PrescribedByDx—raw thoughts
BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front)
Prioritize creating an advocate for your career.
Send at least one message every single day.
Don’t bend the knee in your first conversation.
She didn’t apply and pray—she built internal advocates, got insider help, and walked into a $190K job offer in 90 days.
I helped a senior leader land a $190K salary last week.
The most shocking part of our 90 days together?
They found two (2) team members who were part of the company to spend 15 hours with her throughout the hiring process.
How did it start?
A cold LinkedIn DM.
Why do most people miss out on this?
They don’t send the message.
I’m keeping this simple because it isn’t rocket science. This job seeker had a bias for outreach to people who sat close to the role, were in their industry, and could be of help.
Why is this important in landing the final offer?
The people you’ve impressed will vouch for you. Do they make the final call, usually not. But, how many candidates have people vouching for them on the inside?
Very few.
Therefore, you stand out.
Create a list of the people you want to target.
Prioritize outreach ruthlessly.
Create advocates.
Questions to Impress an Advocate:
When did you last get to chase work you enjoyed?
What was the last piece of feedback you received?
How have you continued to gain exposure in the industry?
The biggest issue I see when people reach out or have that first conversation is the immediate seeking of advice before trying to learn more about the person. As soon as you do this, the person looks down to you. They may still be willing to help, but you aren’t viewed as a peer or someone they can pull into the work.
Impress them with questions their own family doesn’t ask them.
